A travel ban has been implemented by OSU due to the spread of COVID-19. The next trip planned wasn't until next year since the program just got back from their last implementation and shouldn't be affected by this unless the current agenda stays in place for next year as well.
In Cambodia, several cases have been confirmed. Unfortently, the government is using COVID-19 as an oppertunity to arrest activists and freedom of speech supporters by saying they are spreading false information about the disease. When in reality they are simply expressing their fears and trying to educate people about the virus.

A travel ban has been implemented by OSU due to the spread of COVID-19. The trip planned for the summer has been pushed to remote implementation. Because this has had to be done before, the program knows how to proceed and is still on schedule.
Currently, Nicaragua is not being hit hard by this virus. However, the current leadership is downplaying the possible severity and giving false information about its effects. The people are looking to how the United States is responding to COVID-19 and trying to implement the same social distancing practices when and wherever possible despite the Presidents efforts against this.

Due to the severity of COVID-19 the state of Oregon is practicing Social Distancing. This means clases are online and school activities are either postponed or forced to meet remotely. EWB will continue to meet via zoom. The meeting times will not change. The times can be found on the prgam pages along with the corresponding progam coordinators contact info so you can requst to join the zoom meeting.
